Welcome to the website for the Belleville Running Club. Consider this your portal to the world of the BRC. We’re a group of runners in and around Belleville, IL.

Runner Friendly Community

Belleville, Illinois has been named an RRCA Runner Friendly Community for 2014-2019.

Belleville Main Street Marathon

The Belleville Running Club and Toolen’s Running Start conduct the Belleville Main Street Marathon.

For 2021, currently we are hoping to be back in person and are awaiting city approval to hold the marathon on Sept. 25, 2021. Please check back in mid-March for updates!

Couch to 5k Training

The 2019 Couch to 5K training was a success. Look to the 2020 Couch to 5K training in early 2020.

Marathon Training

The BRC and Toolen’s Running Start organize and conduct full marathon training for the Belleville Main Street Marathon. Training typically begins late May and goes through late September. The marathon is held the last Saturday of September. Consider training for this awesome event!

Adopt a Trail

Don’t forget to pick up any litter you see along the trail and keep an eye out for anything that needs to be taken care of (potholes, lights out, etc). Send an e-mail to us and we’ll forward the info to Parks and Recreation.
